The 2-Minute Rule That Defeats Procrastination
Developed by productivity expert David Allen, the 2-Minute Rule works in two ways. First: if a task takes less than 2 minutes, do it immediately instead of adding it to your list. Second: when facing a big intimidating task, commit to working on it for just 2 minutes. Start a timer. Most people continue well beyond 2 minutes because starting is the hardest part. The key insight is that motivation follows action, not the other way around.
